It has been so long!<div>Well.. it has been one super crazy year and there is such a back-log of posting to be done!</div><div>It feels like, "what hasn't happened this year?" and where do I begin??? So many sales and experiments, a new jewelery line, a move to a new house in time for the holidays, a letterpress purchase and just for kicks, my partner in crime <a href="http://sjackowski.blogspot.com/">(Stefan)</a> and I went and tied the knot and then traipsed off to Spain for a honeymoon! But we'll fill in all those details later :P</div><div><br /></div><div>This past weekend <a href="http://flockandgather.blogspot.com/">Flock and Gather</a> had our first official Christmas Sale and boy was it a doozy! Balloons, cookies, tons of vendors from all over and a great turn out! I got to design the poster again it was a blast as usual! :D Everyone worked sooo hard and the results were amazing! So thanks to everyone who participated and also to those who came out to attend!</div><div><br /></div><div>And as for myself, I did a couple of little paintings over the last couple of weeks.. the start of a new series I think. Its super easy and was a huge hit when we brought it to a dinner party! I really like those for some reason :P I filled it up with lots of sketches, and it became a bit of a stream of <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">consciousness</span> for all my thoughts on home and what it means :P The back side is a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">suuuuper</span> neon green with bits of text that kept popping up in my mind :P</div><div>It was a barrel of monkey's fun and I got to try lots of new techniques and transfers that I don't normally use for sketchbooks!</div><div><br /></div><div>Now, the scans came out a bit green, but no worries! </div><div>The full book will be digitized and online</div><div>through the sketchbook project site in the next few weeks! In the meantime, <a href="http://www.arthousecoop.com/projects/sketchbookproject/exhibitions">the tour</a> has officially kicked off this past week in Brooklyn! Check out the dates and locations</div><div>to see if its swinging by a city near you and if so - go take a peak! There is some seriously overdue blogging to be done here!!<div><br /></div><div>So to kick it off, some of you may have noticed the link off to the right for the Sketchbook Project :P I signed up for this project as a sweet way to self motivate (and get a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">rockin</span>' shirt :P ) <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">waaaay</span> back in September/ October and now my book is filled and gone! (Really the best part of keeping a sketchbook :P) </div><div>It will be travelling around the US and finding an eventual home in the Brooklyn Art Library. I've always wanted to make magnets, but something sturdier then the flat type. Word of advice: the fumes are REALLY awful. I would even say dangerously so in a small apartment, that first day, I had to take a loooong walk and leave all the windows open. :P <div><br /></div><div>But! The results were worth it! Suuuuper fun and I am so excited to make more! Unfortunately, I made a silly mistake with some glue and ruined about 50% of the batch last night. Of course. Right before their festival premier today. My boy-wonder fiancee Stefan and I are both participating, me with a <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">smorgasbord</span> of adorable goodness, and him with some seriously stellar photography that will wow the eyes! The process was full of unexpected challenges, fun discoveries and ultimately ridiculously fulfilling :D<div><div><br /></div><div> Both the bride and groom to be love to travel, and are using destinations as table indicators instead of numbers, which suits them to a tee - and inspired me to use vintage city maps as the decorative element to their invites - add some bold, youthful fonts and a healthy dose of thematic green; and voila! Two weeks of constant walking, eating and amazement just passed along with a quick pass through T.O. to say hello and I must say I'm overstimulated, exhausted and have lots to think about. :D One of the most diverse and informative trips I've ever taken we went from London to Le <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Touquet</span>, in northern France to Paris. Each city was <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">completely</span> different even though at most their only a two hour train ride apart. (all the better for it!) The beaver has been most popular :P I got some really great feedback from the other artisans at the festival so a big thanks for good <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">ol</span>' friendliness!
